I had a really long day at work today, but thankfully I was able to catch bed time and get a few snuggles in.
Project 365 – Day 83
Liam was honing his drawing skills this afternoon. He’s getting pretty good at drawing circles and he even made a triangle. Plus he can write his name now.
Project 365 – Day 82
Today was rough. I had an unexpected long day at work and my feet (really my whole body) is just sore. But then I get and remember why I started this whole project in the first place. It’s not about capturing the perfect shot. It’s about getting those little moments. I admit that there have been photos that I have taken recently that I have not been excited about, and that’s ok. Not every image is going to be my best or the best moment. But it’s still a moment. When I look back a year or decade from now, I’ll know that this was a moment that I felt was worth cherishing. I’ll look back and I won’t know why today was rough, but I’ll remember this sweet time between my son and husband.
Project 365 – Day 81
I’m not even sure what is going on with this face, but he sure is silly.
Project 365 – Day 79
Stephen decided to surprise me today by cleaning up the nursery so that we could convert it back into an office. While there’s part of me that is sad because it does semi close a chapter on our lives, I’m excited to have this new space to get some creative juices working.
Project 365 – Day 78
I really need to stop doing photos at bedtime, but I’ve had a lot on my plate recently and is just no time right now. I took Izzy to the vet this afternoon because I thought she had an abscess s near her bottom canine. Turns out she just has a growth in her gum so she’s going to need to get her teeth cleaned which is going to cost money. I’m glad it’s not infected though.
Project 365 – Day 77
Liam has been learning about space all week at preschool. This was the alien he made during class today.
Project 365 – Day 76
Liam had his second day of summer camp today, so I took advantage of a morning to myself and took a jaunt over to Lewis Ginter again. I’m amazed that the roses are still blooming there. Plus they had TONS of butterflies flying around. It was great until the sun decided to come out. Then I had to get out of there.
Project 365 – Day 75
Today was the first day of summer camp. What a wonderful day! Liam had a great day even though he was a little sad when I dropped him off. I am so ready for Fall so he can go back on a more consistent schedule. He just does so much better when he’s there.
Project 365 – Day 74
Tomorrow is the beginning of summer camp. Thank God! Mama needs a break!! Anyway, we had to get all nice a clean for his first day back. He also wanted to practice his evil laugh this evening. I don’t even know sometimes with this kid. Too funny!
