I was going to go the easy route and just use one of the photos from our trip down to the Tiger’s game today, but I decided to break out the camera today and captured a moment with Liam and his creation (which of course he didn’t eat).
We had a fun day at Madeline’s graduation. Even though Liam was a pretty tired guy, he had some fun playing with his cousins.

We travelled to Michigan today. Liam did really well on the plane and is having fun playing with his cousins. After dinner we went to Mike’s baseball game. He also played some tball/baseball with Dad.
This was from this morning. When it was nice and peaceful. When we could just squirt water guns without care. This was before the craziness of this afternoon when poor Liam kicked up a yellow jacket nest and then proceed to get stung. I was talking to some of the mom’s at the bus stop and the next thing I knew, he was screaming, “I got a bug bite!” and then the next thing he was crying hysterically. Not a normal reaction to a typical bug bite Then one of the other girls was being attacked (and yes I say attached because that’s what it looked like) by a yellow jacket. The bug literally would not get off her leg. Once I saw that I knew that was what must have happened to Liam too. So much for trying to be social with the kids at the bus stop.
Today was exhausting and I’m glad to be home. Didn’t really have much time to think through my photo today so I just got a nice(ish) portrait of Liam.
Liam finally decided to lay down in the pool today. He even splashed around a bit and tried to “swim”. I also got my new lens that I will be renting until the end of our trip to Michigan in two days. I got a Tamron 24-70 2.8, which is very similar to my current 28-75 2.8. However, so far I have found that the image quality is awesome. Not that the 28-75mm wasn’t good, but I can tell that the 24-70mm is definitely better. The other thing I noticed so far is that the 24-70mm weighs a lot more too. It will be fun to play around with a new lens at work tomorrow. Hopefully it will make my last day before vacation go quickly.
Today was another day spent by the kiddie pool. We got Liam a pair of crocs in hopes that we can make to one of the splash pads in town. He wore them for quite a bit this evening but eventually wanted them off because he didn’t want them to get “soaking wet”. We also got him to eat a hamburger today (he’s been really picky lately and not eating things that he normally likes) but telling him that it was a veggie burger. He ate a lot more than he normally would have and loved it. Maybe we’ll try a real veggie burger sometime soon.
I have a lot more photos that I would love to add, but I promised Stephen a game night tonight so I’m going to keep it short. Liam was trying to shoot the bubbles with the squirt gun this afternoon while we played by the pool. As a bonus, here is the silliest pose I have ever seen him do.
