I swear I have to get better about taking these photos during the day. At least the living room is cleaner today, though to be fair Liam went to his nana’s house for most of the day while I was at work.

I have been really lazy lately. I’ve been getting my photos done, but usually it’s at the midnight hour (thankfully not real midnight because that would just be crazy). I need to refocus and get things done earlier in the day. Maybe if it wasn’t so dang hot out or if my living wasn’t infested with toys…ah well.
What an extremely tiring day! I had 9 babies to photograph today and that basically took up 90% of my day. I’m thankful that I got some time tonight with Liam and Stephen to get a photo from them instead of having to use the picture of the flowers I took in the waiting room at St. Francis. I will miss these days when he wants us to read to him.
I got a little bit of time to myself this evening, so I trucked it over to Lewis Ginter before they closed. It was super hot and it was not any better in the butterfly exhibit. But they had some new species out today so it was great to see that. Today is also my 60th day. In 60 days I have not missed taking a photo for a single day. I can’t imagine that that is how the rest of the 306 days will go but it’s a good start.
Today was Father’s Day. We spent most of the day smoking a chicken and then just relaxing while watching the baseball game (Tigers won by the way). Happy Father’s Day to the amazing man that I am so proud to call my husband. Liam is one lucky little guy to have a dad like you. Thank you for all that you do! Also a Happy Father’s Day to my dad. I miss you so much! You taught me how to work hard for what I want and to never give up on my dreams. I love you!
We enjoyed some time reading and playing before bed tonight.
Today, I wanted to take a different approach to my photo of the day. I decided to tell a story with my photos more than just taking a single picture. Here you will find Liam helping me with dinner.
While we were on the car ride home from Frankenmuth on Monday, Liam was reenacting our day on Sunday. Basically, we had to leave the baseball game early because it started to down pour. We were going to go out to lunch/dinner but it was an hour wait and we didn’t think that Liam would be able to tolerate that. Well both the drivers had taken off to try to find a spot while we found out how long the wait was. Aunt Joy rode with Aunt Janine and had left her phone in Aunt Janine’s car. Well we couldn’t find where Janine went to and she couldn’t find us. Finally we got ahold of her on the phone and told her to stay where she was (which was on Michigan Ave). We found her but she barely opened her window so that Joy could get her phone. Well Liam found this hilarious and decided to act out this scene over and over on the ride home on Monday.
Apparently that obsession has carried over to Virginia because he (and Dad) built his train track up and drove his car around on Michigan Ave to find Aunt Janine. Hilarious.
We came back home from Michigan today. It was an exhausting trip back, but overall Liam did really well on the plane ride. I think I feel asleep on the couch around 3:30pm or so for a quick nap. I can’t wait to sleep in my own bed tonight.
This evening, Liam begged for us to put up the pool again. Oh. Em. G.O.S.H is it hot here. It was 5pm and I was just sweating sitting down while he played. Thankfully he didn’t want to stay in too long and there was a random down pour of rain about 5 minutes after we got back in the house. Now he’s in bed and already asleep. Hopefully he’ll be able to catch up on some sleep this week.
