Today, Liam woke up and wanted to make a pie. To be honest, he’s been bugging me to make a pie for the last couple of days. But I kept putting it off because we didn’t really have anything to make a pie. Finally today he wore me down and we needed something to occupy our time today. So for simplicities sake, we made a pumpkin pie (that way I didn’t have to cut up any fruit and yes I know it’s the middle of May. Sometimes you just need some pumpkin pie!). He was really excited to help out with the dumping and stirring. He even told me at one point that he couldn’t look at me because he had to pay attention to the bowl he was mixing.
Project 365 – Day 26
Liam has really been into building things all the time and then he likes to destroy them. Today instead of pretending that he was the Hulk, he decided to allow a stand-in.
Project 365 – Day 25
I thought I would get a jump start this morning on my photo of the day. However, even though I was able to take the photo early this morning during breakfast I haven’t had a chance to actually post anything until 3:40 in the afternoon. I’ve been running around all morning and afternoon trying to get this loan stuff figured out for the car that we purchased yesterday and it all just seems like a big headache right now. Plus with Stephen being in DC for the remainder of the day and me having to work in the AM, there just seems like there’s no time to get this all settled. Here’s to a less stressful evening I guess. Where’s the wine?
Project 365 – Day 24
After spending about 3 years only having one car, today we became a two car family again.
Project 365 – Day 23
I really thought that I was going to miss my photo today. Between working all day (taking photos of newborns no less) and then grabbing something to eat, I knew that getting a photo in today was going to be a challenge. Thankfully I was able to capture this sweet moment between Stephen and Liam while they were reading before bedtime today. Sometimes in fun to be the fly on the wall.
Project 365 – Day 22
Liam loves checking on the mama duck at Lewis Ginter. I really hope her eggs hatch soon because I can’t wait to see a bunch of baby ducklings. Also the roses were in full bloom today and I was blessed with a cooler, cloudy morning.
Project 365 – Day 21
Love this little cutie! He was having a lot of fun after school today pretending that he was at the beach.
Project 365 – Day 20
Sometimes you just need to run around your house in your Buzz Lightyear pajamas and pew stuff.
Project 365 – Day 19
The kids at preschool spent most of the morning outside today. When Liam got home he was pretty whacked out, we laid down on the couch for a few minutes. Unfortunately it didn’t last too long, but he keeps going back and forth between playing and laying down.
Project 365 – Day 18
Because I’m crazy, I decided to schedule Liam’s 4 year old visit the day after Mother’s Day. The poor kid wasn’t feeling 100% but he wasn’t running a fever so he was cleared for his immunizations. He did really well up until the shots, but I think that’s to be expected of a 4 year old. He did such a great job at the doctor that he got some new Star Wars legos.
