Today was exhausting and I’m glad to be home. Didn’t really have much time to think through my photo today so I just got a nice(ish) portrait of Liam.
Project 365 – Day 46
Liam finally decided to lay down in the pool today. He even splashed around a bit and tried to “swim”. I also got my new lens that I will be renting until the end of our trip to Michigan in two days. I got a Tamron 24-70 2.8, which is very similar to my current 28-75 2.8. However, so far I have found that the image quality is awesome. Not that the 28-75mm wasn’t good, but I can tell that the 24-70mm is definitely better. The other thing I noticed so far is that the 24-70mm weighs a lot more too. It will be fun to play around with a new lens at work tomorrow. Hopefully it will make my last day before vacation go quickly.
Project 365 – Day 45
Today was another day spent by the kiddie pool. We got Liam a pair of crocs in hopes that we can make to one of the splash pads in town. He wore them for quite a bit this evening but eventually wanted them off because he didn’t want them to get “soaking wet”. We also got him to eat a hamburger today (he’s been really picky lately and not eating things that he normally likes) but telling him that it was a veggie burger. He ate a lot more than he normally would have and loved it. Maybe we’ll try a real veggie burger sometime soon.
Project 365 – Day 44
I have a lot more photos that I would love to add, but I promised Stephen a game night tonight so I’m going to keep it short. Liam was trying to shoot the bubbles with the squirt gun this afternoon while we played by the pool. As a bonus, here is the silliest pose I have ever seen him do.
Project 365 – Day 43
This morning we had Liam’s gym show. It’s nothing big, but they have the kids do all of their gymnastics and at the end they get a trophy. I’m really impressed with how much he has improved over the last year. He really looks forward to it every week. After gym, we went to Lewis Ginter again. It has been raining for 3 days straight so it was great to get outside. Plus all the flowers were covered in raindrops so it made for some amazing photos.
Project 365 – Day 42
It has been rainy and cloudy for most of the week. So I apologize for the same general style of photo the last few days. But I won’t apologize for the amazing light that I’ve had. I have grown quite fond of dramatic light and today is no exception. I promise next week or maybe even tomorrow I vary it up some more. But for now, appreciate the drama.
Project 365 – Day 41
Liam really wanted to color this morning before breakfast. I didn’t mind too much since he actually slept in some today. I guess we’ll have to get some black out curtains because he seems to always sleep later when it’s cloudy outside.
Project 365 – Day 40
Something outside has caught Izzy’s attention. And yes the fort is still going strong. Maybe the rain will stop soon and we’ll be able to do more stuff outside.
Project 365 – Day 39
One of my favorite things to do as a child was a to build a HUGE fort in the living room. Apparently Liam has inherited that same love. It’s been awhile since we built one at the house, but I think he’s thoroughly enjoying it on this hot/humid day.
Project 365 – Day 38
Liam wanted to with some Play-doh this afternoon after I got home from work. He is really making it difficult to get rid of some of these old toys lately.
