One of my favorite things to do as a child was a to build a HUGE fort in the living room. Apparently Liam has inherited that same love. It’s been awhile since we built one at the house, but I think he’s thoroughly enjoying it on this hot/humid day.
Project 365 – Day 38
Liam wanted to with some Play-doh this afternoon after I got home from work. He is really making it difficult to get rid of some of these old toys lately.
Project 365 – Day 37
Another old toy made a reemergence this morning. I’m surprised that he still fits through it. We also made it out to Ikea this afternoon which is why this update is coming so late.
Project 365 – Day 36
Sometimes you have to appreciate the quiet times. Izzy and Liam are both enjoying some time on the couch this afternoon. Also, I am 10% finished today!
Generation of Disney Lovers
When my dad passed away 2 years ago, we went through hundreds of photos. The one that stuck to me the most was this one of him and myself on Dumbo at Disney World. After I showed the photo to Stephen, he said to me that he never pictured my dad as someone who would like Disney. That statement couldn’t have been farther from the truth. He was just a big kid at heart, and where better to express your inner child than Disney. That’s the great thing about going to Disney as an adult, you get to be a 4 year old again! So when I knew that we were going back to Disney this last February, I knew that I had to recreate the photo on Dumbo with Liam. I hope that someday he will keep up the tradition and we can have a photo of him with his own children.
Project 365 – Day 35
Sometimes toys like to make a reemergence which always makes getting rid of old toys hard.
Project 365 – Day 34
Watching his favorite show this morning, The Chew!
Project 365 – Day 33
Today was the first day since I started this project that I really didn’t want to pull out the camera. After a longish day of waiting around at work for a family to be ready for pictures, I was kind of done with the camera. But Liam wanted to play outside again this evening and I made myself bring the camera outside with us. And I’m glad that I did. I can’t ask for better light than this. I’m going to miss these semi-cool evenings when summer really hits.
Project 365 – Day 32 – Happy Memorial Day
Are you ready for a huge photo dump? Today we celebrated Memorial Day. We remembered the brave men and women who died so that we could have the freedoms we enjoy today. This morning we spent the day planting some new flowers for the front and back planters. Then this afternoon Liam really wanted to play in the pool. Thankfully we were able to find a shady spot to relax (kiddie) poolside while he splashed around. Stephen made some amazing pulled pork and then we went back outside some more for a water fight among the boys. All in all, a perfect way to kick off summer.
Project 365 – Day 31
Today we spent the afternoon at Nona’s house. We played a couple board games and just enjoyed the beautiful weather.
