We spent another afternoon at Lewis Ginter this afternoon. I have to say we are definitely getting the full use out of our passes this year. Today we just decided to walk around the gardens since it was a beautiful day again. I wish it could be like this all summer long.
Liam wanted to go to the splash pad at Lewis Ginter today. It was the first time he showed some interest in it so we jumped at the opportunity. He mostly stuck to the outside but would eventually venture into the water. Maybe next time he’ll be even more prepared for it.
It was pretty humid most of the morning. Then the flood gates opened for about 10 minutes so we went out and splashed in some puddles. Liam had a ball.
What an incredibly stressful day! I had to stick around most of the day because I was expecting a package that contained my new lens that I’ll be renting for a week. Which of course they require you to sign for it. Which also meant that Liam and I spent a lot of time cooped up together in the house. I’m really really really excited about Stephen and mine’s date tonight, because boy could I really use a night out. Plus we have an actual babysitter so we’re not confined to get home before bedtime. I can’t wait!
I swear I have to get better about taking these photos during the day. At least the living room is cleaner today, though to be fair Liam went to his nana’s house for most of the day while I was at work.
I have been really lazy lately. I’ve been getting my photos done, but usually it’s at the midnight hour (thankfully not real midnight because that would just be crazy). I need to refocus and get things done earlier in the day. Maybe if it wasn’t so dang hot out or if my living wasn’t infested with toys…ah well.
What an extremely tiring day! I had 9 babies to photograph today and that basically took up 90% of my day. I’m thankful that I got some time tonight with Liam and Stephen to get a photo from them instead of having to use the picture of the flowers I took in the waiting room at St. Francis. I will miss these days when he wants us to read to him.
I got a little bit of time to myself this evening, so I trucked it over to Lewis Ginter before they closed. It was super hot and it was not any better in the butterfly exhibit. But they had some new species out today so it was great to see that. Today is also my 60th day. In 60 days I have not missed taking a photo for a single day. I can’t imagine that that is how the rest of the 306 days will go but it’s a good start.
Today was Father’s Day. We spent most of the day smoking a chicken and then just relaxing while watching the baseball game (Tigers won by the way). Happy Father’s Day to the amazing man that I am so proud to call my husband. Liam is one lucky little guy to have a dad like you. Thank you for all that you do! Also a Happy Father’s Day to my dad. I miss you so much! You taught me how to work hard for what I want and to never give up on my dreams. I love you!
